Softball Game Preview: Randolph-Henry Statesmen vs. Lunenburg Central Chargers

The Randolph-Henry Statesmen will venture away from home to face off against the Lunenburg Central Chargers at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Randolph-Henry has given up an average of 9.4 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Monday just wasn't the day for Randolph-Henry's offense. They came up short against Buckingham on Monday, falling 14-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Statesmen have suffered against the Knights since May 15, 2019.

Meanwhile, Lunenburg Central never let their opponents score back in March. Everything went their way against Cumberland as they made off with a 10-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Chargers.

Randolph-Henry's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Lunenburg Central, their victory bumped their record up to 2-0.

Randolph-Henry skirted past Lunenburg Central 2-1 in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Will the Statesmen repeat their success, or do the Chargers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
