Basketball Recap: Henry Uti's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Frontier School of Excellence over Chesterton Academy of St. Philip Neri

Frontier School of Excellence was the 60-58 winner over Chesterton Academy of St. Philip Neri when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. Frontier School of Excellence took a 52-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Chesterton Academy of St. Philip Neri Crusaders.

Several Frontier School of Excellence players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Henry Uti, who posted 13 points in addition to eight rebounds and five assists. Uti is also crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Nate Grayes, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 12 boards.

Chesterton Academy of St. Philip Neri's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Joachim Burton led the charge by putting up 24 points and five rebounds. That makes it eight consecutive games in which Burton has scored at least a third of Chesterton Academy of St. Philip Neri's points. Phil Basola was another key player, dropping a double-double on 15 points and 13 boards.

Frontier School of Excellence's loss dropped their record down to 11-3. As for Chesterton Academy of St. Philip Neri, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-1.

Frontier School of Excellence wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 69-41 victory against Ozanam on the 3rd. Chesterton Academy of St. Philip Neri has also already played their next game, a 58-31 win against Frontier STEM on the 4th.
