Softball Recap: Desert Hills Makes It 11 in a Row at Home

With a playoff win on the line, Desert Hills rose to the challenge on Friday. They came out on top against the Tooele Buffaloes by a score of 8-3. The victory continues a trend for the Thunder in their matchups with the Buffaloes: they've now won five in a row.

Riley Greene was incredible, firing off two home runs and five RBI while going 2-for-4. That's the most home runs she has posted since back in April.

Greene wasn't the only one working in the home run department: Desert Hills lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now launched at least two home runs in five consecutive games.

Desert Hills' win was their 11th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 28-2. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Tooele, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-15.

Desert Hills wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 3-2 win against Logan on the 13th. Tooele does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
