Basketball Game Preview: Tussey Mountain Titans vs. Fannett Metal

The Tussey Mountain Titans will challenge Fannett Metal at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Tuesday, Tussey Mountain ended up a good deal behind Everett and lost 63-45. The Titans were down 49-28 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Meanwhile, Fannett Metal was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a blow against McConnellsburg, falling 90-31. The game marked Fannett Metal's lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Tussey Mountain's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Fannett Metal, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-8.

Tussey Mountain was able to grind out a solid win over Fannett Metal when the teams last played back in January of 2024, winning 62-55. The rematch might be a little tougher for Tussey Mountain since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
