Basketball Recap: Oakridge Comes Up Short

Oakridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They lost 66-40 to the Manistee Chippewas. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 56-33 back in December of 2024.

Oakridge's defeat dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Manistee, their victory bumped their record up to 5-7.

Oakridge and Manistee could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Michigan Rankings. Oakridge (ranked 560th) will meet Whitehall (ranked 224th) at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Similarly, Manistee will challenge Ludington at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday down 246 places (363 vs. 117).
