Basketball Game Preview: Parrish Community Bulls vs. Countryside Cougars

The Parrish Community Bulls and the Countryside Cougars will round out the year against one another at at 11:00 a.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Thursday, Parrish Community came up short against North Port and fell 49-40.

Despite the defeat, Parrish Community had strong showings from Mia Polseno, who posted eight points along with five boards and three steals, and Jayna Bowen, who put up 15 points and eight rebounds.

Even though they lost, Parrish Community smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 20 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, Countryside also suffered a loss in their last game, but this one to Sunlake by a score of 39-27. The contest marked the Cougars' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Parrish Community's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Countryside, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-3 record this season.
