Football Game Preview: Academy of the New Church Lions vs. Delaware County Christian Knights

Academy of the New Church is preparing for their first conference matchup of the season on Friday. They will head out on the road to square off against the Delaware County Christian Knights at 7:00 p.m. Academy of the New Church's offense hasn't had much luck over their past three games, but Friday's contest will give them a chance to turn things around.

Academy of the New Church took a loss when they played away from home last Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Saturday. They secured a 13-7 W over Morrisville.

Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Delaware County Christian beat Tower Hill 28-24 on Saturday. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Knights' disadvantage in MaxPreps' football rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 338th in Pennsylvania, while the Hillers are ranked 30th in Delaware).

Academy of the New Church's record is now 2-4. As for Delaware County Christian, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 3-4 record this season.
