Baseball Recap: Reardan Comes Up Short

Reardan was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 19-5 to the Northwest Christian School Crusaders. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Crusaders this season, with their most recent defeat being a 4-1 loss on Saturday.

Reardan saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hunter Flaa, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double. Another was Brady Angell, who scored a run while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.

Reardan's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Northwest Christian School, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Reardan will square off against Medical Lake at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Screaming Eagles' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Cardinals have averaged an impressive 10.4 runs per game this season. As for Northwest Christian School, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Kettle Falls at 4:00 p.m. on the 15th.
