Softball Recap: Mingus Marauders vs. Flagstaff Eagles
Mingus extended their losing streak to seven on Wednesday, dropping them down to 3-12. They lost 13-1 to the Flagstaff Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 21-3 on Monday.
Mingus saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Coco Grenough, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one run.
As for Flagstaff, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-4. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won 12 contests by six runs or more so far this season.
On Flagstaff's side, Cailee Culwell was a major factor no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out six over five innings pitched.
