Soccer Recap: Mercer Island's Undefeated Season over After Eight Games

Mercer Island was the 3-1 winner over Eastlake when they last played one another back in March, but their luck changed this time around. The Islanders fell 2-0 to Wolves on Thursday. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Mercer Island came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Washington soccer rankings (they are ranked sixth, while Eastlake are ranked 60th).

Having lost for the first time this season, Mercer Island fell to 5-1-2. As for Eastlake, their win bumped their record up to 6-4-1.

Looking ahead, Mercer Island will challenge Issaquah at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Eastlake, they will face off against Lake Washington at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
