The numbers might not have changed much, but the postseason is here and brought about plenty of gameday action in the power rankings this week. Among the action were the efforts of Joplin's junior Isaiah Davis, an offensive menace who scored six total TDs.
Can't Touch This
Joplin got a 49 - 14 win over Kirkwood last week, and a key reason for the win was junior Isaiah Davis. Davis rushed for 330 yards and six touchdowns. That performance landed Davis among the top power-ranked players for the week.
No Stoppin 'Em
The Christian Brothers offense has been a force to be reckoned with this season, and last week was no different. It picked up a decisive 'W' against DeSmet Jesuit, finishing up at 63 - 28. Christian Brothers made sure to walk the walk to justify being talked up as the big favorite. The combined 91 points was the most of any game featuring a power-ranked team.
Next Week's Big Game
If you are itching to watch a first-rate contest, no game is supposed to fit the bill better than the one between Blue Springs (7th in the power rankings) and Rockhurst (2nd). The teams have their eyes fixed on the championship after last-week playoff conquests. Only one team will win this week, so we'll find out which team fails to repeat its success.
