The Griffith Institute Griffins will challenge the East Aurora Blue Devils at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Griffith Institute's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last five contests.
Griffith Institute came out on top against Cleveland Hill on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive 17-run second inning. The Griffins blew past the Golden Eagles 20-2. Considering the Griffins have won eight matches by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for East Aurora, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Franklinville on Thursday, sneaking past 11-10. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Blue Devils considering their two-run performance the contest before.
Like Griffith Institute, East Aurora also got a great game from a two-way player: Sage Rozanski. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Rozanski was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

East Aurora has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.8 runs over those games. As for Griffith Institute, their win bumped their record up to 10-3.
Friday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Griffith Institute has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .512. However, it's not like East Aurora struggles in that department as they've averaged .483. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
