Softball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Waite

Waite had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They came out on top against the Rogers Rams by a score of 20-15. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 22-8 back in April.

Destiny Garza and Aaniyah Aldana did most of the damage at the plate: Garza fired off four runs, four doubles, and four RBI while going 5-for-6, while Aldana got on base in four of her six plate appearances with three stolen bases, four runs, and three RBI. Aldana has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times she's played. Jorja Skaggs also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

Waite's win bumped their record up to 5-6. As for Rogers, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-7.

Waite does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Rogers, they will venture away from home to take on Lima Senior at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
