Football Game Preview: Red River Bulldogs vs. Oakdale Warriors + How To Watch

The Red River Bulldogs will take on the Oakdale Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Red River has three straight victories, Oakdale has 12 straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Red River is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Winnfield 58-36 on Friday. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 42-21.

It was another big night for Malique Smith, who threw for 272 yards and four TDs while completing 78.1% of his passes, and also rushed for 74 yards and one touchdown on only eight carries. His passing game has become a key predictor of Red River's success: the team is 4-2 when his passer rating is 110 or higher, but only 1-3 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Cedric Moody, who rushed for 150 yards and one score.

Meanwhile, Oakdale lost 28-2 to Avoyelles on Friday.

The win got Red River back to even at 5-5. As for Oakdale, their loss dropped their record down to 0-9.
