Sumner never let their opponents score on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 14-0 margin over the Bethel Bison. Considering the Spartans have won nine games by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Sumner got several good pitching performances, but Owen Tobin was perhaps the best, pitching one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits.
