Baseball Recap: Timberline Comes Up Short

Ridgevue hit Timberline with a four-run seventh inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Wolves fell just short of the Warhawks by a score of 8-7. The Wolves were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Warhawks apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2019.

Aidan Messerschmitt was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Logan Sweet, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI.

Timberline's loss dropped their record down to 5-13. As for Ridgevue, they moved to 7-6-1 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Timberline will face off against rival Rocky Mountain at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Ridgevue is set to challenge their familiar foe Boise at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
