Basketball Recap: Cameron Miller's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Rossville over Silver Lake

Rossville has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 66-63 heartbreaker at the hands of the Silver Lake Eagles. The Bulldogs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Eagles earlier this season, when they won 79-72.

Rossville's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Cameron Miller, who went 7-for-9 on his way to 18 points. Kameron Badura was another key player, going 5-for-8 en route to 14 points.

Rossville's defeat dropped their record down to 12-6. As for Silver Lake, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season.

Rossville wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 63-61 victory against Riley County on the 21st. As for Silver Lake, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 69-54 loss against St. Marys on the 21st.
