Volleyball Game Preview: Kamiak Knights vs. Lake Stevens Vikings + How To Watch

Kamiak is 0-10 against Lake Stevens since September of 2019 but things could change on Thursday. The Knights will be playing in front of their home fans against the Vikings at 7:00 p.m. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Kamiak sitting on four straight wins and Lake Stevens on six.

On Tuesday, Kamiak got the win against Mariner by a conclusive 3-0.

Meanwhile, Lake Stevens made easy work of Lynnwood on Tuesday and carried off a 3-0 victory.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Lake Stevens took every set by at least ten points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-13, 25-8.

Kamiak better focus on containing Olivia Gonzales and Gianna Hoshock as the pair were huge in Lake Stevens' win. Gonzales had eight digs and two aces, while Hoshock had three aces. Gonzales has been hot for a while, having also posted 16 or more assists the last 31 times she's played. Yalena Wilson also deserves some recognition as she served her first aces of the season.

Lake Stevens was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 13 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in 27 consecutive matches dating back to last season.

Lake Stevens' win bumped their record up to 11-1. As for Kamiak, their victory bumped their record up to 6-2.

Kamiak might still be hurting after the 3-0 defeat they got from Lake Stevens when the teams last played back in October of 2024. Can the Knights avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
