Recap: Elmwood-Murdock Knights vs. David City Scouts
The Elmwood-Murdock Knights put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They took down David City 52-36. With that victory, Elmwood-Murdock brought their scoring average up to 50.2 points per game.
Elmwood-Murdock's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brooklyn Mans, who scored 15 points along with three steals. Mans set a new season high mark in points with 15. The team also got some help courtesy of Delaney "laney" Frahm, who scored 12 points along with five steals.
Elmwood-Murdock's win was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-0. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.0 points per game. As for David City, their loss ended a ten-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 3-1.
Elmwood-Murdock and Falls City will face off without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Falls City is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for David City, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Clarkson/Leigh at 7:15 p.m. on December 12th. Clarkson/Leigh will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Nebraska Rankings (they are ranked 201st, while David City is ranked 64th).
