Basketball Recap: Tri-County North Drops Season-High Score on Dayton Christian

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Tri-County North). They really took it to the Dayton Christian WARRIORS for the full four quarters, racking up an 81-26 win. The victory was nothing new for the Panthers as they're now sitting on five straight.

Bella Cherry continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a triple-double on 27 points, ten assists, and 15 steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed four or more in the last six games she's played. Leinani Garcia was another key player, going 7 for 14 on her way to 19 points in addition to six rebounds and five assists.

They weren't the only one working in the assists department: Tri-County North was working as a unit and finished the game with 20 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in December of 2023.

Tri-County North pushed their record up to 6-6 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 34.7 points. As for Dayton Christian, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-7 record this season.

Tri-County North will head out to square off against Dixie at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Dayton Christian, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Twin Valley South at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
