Recap: Cache Bulldogs vs. Blanchard Lions
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for the Cache Bulldogs, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They were outmatched by Blanchard on the road and fell 27-0. Cache's defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
Tyler Harbin threw for 48 yards on three of nine attempts. Kyree Coleman was his top target, picking up 37 receiving yards. On the ground, Connor Muldowney rushed for 39 yards.
Blanchard can attribute much of their success to Carson Cooksey, who threw for 228 yards and three touchdowns. Blanchard also got a significant boost from McHale Howell, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 102 yards.
Cache's loss dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Blanchard, their victory was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-1.
Cache does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Blanchard will be playing at home against Sallisaw at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Sallisaw will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Oklahoma Rankings (they are ranked 63rd, while Blanchard is ranked 16th).
