Basketball Recap: Maricopa Finds Home Court Redemption Against Flowing Wells + How To Watch

There's no place like home for Maricopa, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They snuck past the Flowing Wells Caballeros with a 61-56 victory on Thursday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Rams also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2024.

Ruben White produced another solid effort going 9-for-14 on his way to 19 points and six rebounds. What's more, he also posted a 64% shooting accuracy, which is the highest he's achieved since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Matthew Barnett, who shot 54% from the field to rack up 12 points and three steals.

Maricopa was working as a unit and finished the game with 17 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Despite the loss, Flowing Wells still got an impressive performance from Isaias Encinas, who posted 23 points in addition to six assists and three steals. Encinas is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last six games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jose Cureses, who earned 12 points.

Maricopa's record is now 4-5. As for Flowing Wells, they now also have a losing record of 4-5.

Maricopa will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Tempe at 6:30 p.m. on the 22nd. As for Flowing Wells, they have already played their next contest, a 76-55 loss against Casa Grande on the 12th.
