Football Game Preview: Penncrest Lions vs. Ridley Raiders

Penncrest hasn't had much luck against Ridley recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Lions are taking a road trip to face off against the Raiders at 7:00 p.m. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Penncrest sitting on four straight victories and Ridley on seven.

Penncrest will bounce into Friday's matchup after beating Marple Newtown, who they had gone 0-9 against in their nine prior meetings. The Lions walked away with an 18-10 win over the Fightin' Tigers on Friday.

Meanwhile, Ridley got themselves on the board against Haverford on Friday, but Haverford never followed suit. They enjoyed a cozy 14-0 victory over the Fords.

Penncrest's win bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Ridley, their victory bumped their record up to 7-1.

Penncrest took their win against Ridley when the teams last played back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 28-7 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Lions since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
