Volleyball Recap: Cimarron Puts Losing Streak Behind Them + How To Watch

Cimarron had to endure a six-match losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against the Coronado Leopards by a score of 3-1 on Monday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 on September 11th.

Cimarron had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 23-25, 25-22, 25-18, 25-12.

Despite the defeat, Coronado saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Melody Chacon had 15 digs, six aces, and one block.

Cimarron picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 3-10. As for Coronado, they dropped their record down to 3-6 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home.

Looking ahead, Cimarron will venture away from home to take on Roy/Mosquero at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup will give the Rams their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Coronado, they will welcome Questa at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
