Soccer Game Preview: Sutter vs. Natomas

The Sutter Huskies will challenge the Natomas Nighthawks at 3:15 p.m. on Monday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Sutter came up short against Colusa two weeks ago, falling 4-1.

Meanwhile, Natomas managed to keep up with Valley until halftime last Monday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Nighthawks might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting the Vikings an easy 5-0 win. While losing is never fun, Natomas can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 789th, while Valley are ranked 104th).

Sutter's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Natomas, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-6-1 record this season.

Sutter was able to grind out a solid victory over Natomas in their previous matchup back in January of 2025, winning 2-0. Will the Huskies repeat their success, or do the Nighthawks have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
