Football Recap: Thomasville Finds Home Field Redemption Against Cummings

There's no place like home for Thomasville, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They came out on top against the Cummings Cavaliers by a score of 37-30 on Friday. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Bulldogs considering their ten-point performance the game before.

Thomasville didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. Danarius Gibson picked up that interception and then proceeded to rub salt in the wound by taking it back the other way for a touchdown. He got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Despite the defeat, Cummings had strong showings from Tamorrie Brown, who rushed for 135 yards and a pair of scores, and Jakori McNair, who rushed for 92 yards and one touchdown.

The victory got Thomasville back to even at 1-1. As for Cummings, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Coming up, Thomasville will take on Lexington Senior at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Cummings, they will face off against Morehead at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
