Football Recap: Salome Takes a Loss

Salome was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 54-50 heartbreaker at the hands of the Desert Heights Prep Yote. If the Frogs were looking for revenge after losing 49-32 to the Yote when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Salome's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Desert Heights Prep, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season.

Salome will host Valley Lutheran at 7:00 p.m. on October 3. As for Desert Heights Prep, they will venture away from home to challenge Baboquivari at 7:00 p.m. on October 3.
