Football Recap: Anclote Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Anclote extended their losing streak to three on Friday, dropping them down to 1-5. They were beaten by Nature Coast Tech 62-0. While losing is never fun, Anclote can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 533rd, while Nature Coast Tech is ranked 198th).

As for Nature Coast Tech, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 5-1. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 37.4 points over those games.

Nature Coast Tech got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Cashis Williams out in front who rushed for 58 yards and one TD, and also threw for 88 yards and one touchdown while completing 75% of his passes. Nick Elwin also helped with two scores in total.

Anclote will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Hudson at 7:30 p.m. on the 10th. The Sharks will be up against the Cobras' rather soft defense (which has allowed 27.8 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Nature Coast Tech, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 28-14 victory against Springstead on the 3rd.
