Soccer Game Preview: Union Grove vs. Kenosha Tremper

The Union Grove Broncos will head out to challenge the Kenosha Tremper Trojans at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Union Grove is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.1 goals per game this season.

Union Grove will roll into the match after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any goals on Saturday, then bounced right back against Waterford on Tuesday. The Broncos never let the Wolverines get on the board and left with a 4-0 win. It was an even better day for Niall Hagen as he scored three goals for his team.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Kenosha Tremper's offense. They lost 4-0 to Franklin on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, Kenosha Tremper can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin soccer rankings (they are ranked 113th, while Franklin are ranked 16th).

Union Grove has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That somehow still isn't as good as their 10-2-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up two goals over those five contests. As for Kenosha Tremper, their loss dropped their record down to 5-4-2.

Union Grove beat Kenosha Tremper by a goal in their previous meeting back in September of 2024, winning 2-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Broncos since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
