Basketball Game Preview: Springer Red Devils vs. Logan Longhorns

Springer hasn't had much luck against Logan recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The Springer Red Devils will be playing at home against the Logan Longhorns at 5:00 p.m.

Last Tuesday, Springer came up short against Des Moines and fell 60-48. The Red Devils have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, after only 25 points in their last matchup, Logan made sure to put some points up on the board against Grady on Thursday. Logan claimed a resounding 67-30 victory over Grady. The Longhorns have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine contests by 20 points or more this season.

Springer better keep an eye on Desta Rose. She was instrumental in Logan's win, going 11-for-20 to rack up 27 points along with five assists and five boards. Thanks to that strong game, Rose now owns an excellent 45.4% field goal percentage. Marilyn Moreno was another key player, putting up five points and five steals.

Logan has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-11 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.2 points over those games. Springer's defeat dropped their record down to 16-8.
