Volleyball Recap: Shelby-Rising City Comes Up Short

Shelby-Rising City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Milford Eagles. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Huskies of the 2-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2023.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-8, 25-16.

Kaleigh Ruth paced Shelby-Rising City's offense, picking up three kills. Ruth got some help from Taya Pinneo and her eight assists. Finally, Mackenzie Kuns kept Shelby-Rising City's defense grounded, leading the team with two blocks.

Shelby-Rising City's defeat dropped their record down to 9-21. As for Milford, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 21-8.
