East Columbus has gone 9-1 against North Brunswick recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The East Columbus Gators will venture away from home to challenge the North Brunswick Scorpions at 6:00 p.m. One thing working in East Columbus' favor is that they have posted at least ten runs every time they've taken the field this season.
On Monday, everything went East Columbus' way against West Bladen as East Columbus made off with a 22-6 win. The victory continues a trend for the Gators in their matchups with the Knights: they've now won seven in a row.
Ashlynn Smith made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed 20 innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits. Smith was also big at the plate, scoring three runs while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Those three runs gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kamora Bryant, who got on base in all five of her plate appearances with one home run, five runs, and six RBI. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in RBI. Another player making a difference was Skylah Collins, who scored two runs and stole Three bases. while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances.
East Columbus always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .690. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .643 or higher every time they've taken the field this season.
Meanwhile, North Brunswick suffered their biggest defeat since April 12, 2024 on Monday. They lost 17-2 to Dixon. The loss was the Scorpions' first of the season.
North Brunswick saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Katherine Kayler, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.
Having lost for the first time this season, North Brunswick fell to 2-1. As for East Columbus, their record is now 3-0.
North Brunswick's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: East Columbus hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .561. It's a different story for North Brunswick, though, as they've only averaged .234. Will they be able to contain East Columbus' hitters?
