Vista Ridge hasn't had much luck against Vandegrift recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Rangers will look to defend their home field against the Vipers at 7:00 p.m. Vista Ridge will come into the matchup with an undefeated record on the line.
Vista Ridge is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They came out on top against Stony Point by a score of 31-21 last Thursday.

Quinn Szczytowski went supernova, rushing for 104 yards and one touchdown. Those 104 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. Cameron Lacek was another key player, throwing for 175 yards and a pair of TDs.
Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Vista Ridge proved: they limited Stony Point to a paltry 2.2 yards per carry. While two picked up at least three total tackles, Nate Cochren stood above the rest. He picked up a sack, made three total tackles (2.0 for loss), and defended nine passes. Vista Ridge didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 12.
Meanwhile, while Vandegrift put up some points two weeks ago, the same can't be said for Stony Point. The Vipers blew past the Tigers 24-0. Given the Vipers' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 21st, while the Tigers are ranked 224th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Vandegrift now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Vista Ridge, their victory bumped their record up to 4-0.
Vista Ridge took a serious blow against Vandegrift in their previous matchup back in September of 2024, falling 38-7. Thankfully for the Rangers, Brendan Fournier (who rushed for 100 yards and two scores on only 12 carries) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
