Despite the loss, Salem Baptist Christian still got an impressive performance from Garrett Trinkle, who shot 6-for-10 from beyond the arc and dropped a double-double on 30 points and 12 rebounds. That was a full 68.2% of Salem Baptist Christian's points, marking the sixth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brandon Lloyd, who scored seven points along with 13 rebounds.
Salem Baptist Christian dropped their record down to 1-18 with that loss, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Guilford Home Educators, their victory bumped their record up to 6-10.
Salem Baptist Christian will head out on the road to challenge University Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in North Carolina (University Christian is ranked 608th, while Salem Baptist Christian is ranked 631st). As for Guilford Home Educators, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Community Baptist at 7:00 p.m.
