Volleyball Recap: Sierra Vista Falls Short Against Ranked Foothill

On Saturday, Sierra Vista faced Foothill in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Sierra Vista Mountain Lions fell 2-0 to the Foothill Falcons. The Mountain Lions were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Falcons apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Regi Beshiri paced Sierra Vista's offense, picking up eight kills. Beshiri got some help from Isaiah Misailegalu and his eight assists. Ben La controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Sierra Vista is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-3. As for Foothill, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.

Sierra Vista didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against El Dorado on the 1st. As for Foothill, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Palo Verde on the 1st.
