Baseball Game Preview: Classical Academy Caimans vs. Francis Parker Lancers

The Classical Academy Caimans will head out to square off against the Francis Parker Lancers at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for Classical Academy and eight for Francis Parker.

Classical Academy made up a huge gap compared to their last game against La Jolla Country Day, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Caimans fell just short of the Torreys by a score of 8-6 on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Caimans have suffered against the Torreys since April 30, 2022.

Aidan Suitor made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Dylan Perry also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Meanwhile, Francis Parker lost 10-2 to Bishop's on Friday.

Francis Parker's defeat dropped their record down to 6-16-1. As for Classical Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 10-15.

Classical Academy took their win against Francis Parker when the teams last played back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 12-4 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Caimans since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
