Trinity Leadership had won four straight at home, but on Friday they bumped up to 7-2 to make it five. They breezed past the Scurry-Rosser Wildcats to the tune of 44-14. With the Tigers ahead 28-7 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
It was another big night for Alvin Sims, who rushed for 149 yards while picking up 9.3 yards per carry. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 74-yard run.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Trinity Leadership was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 249 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 168 rushing yards in six consecutive contests.
