Baseball Game Preview: Sharyland Rattlers vs. Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Memorial Wolverines

For the second straight game, Sharyland will face off against Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Memorial. The Rattlers will take on the Wolverines at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Sharyland's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last three matchups.

If Sharyland beats Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Memorial with ten runs on Thursday, it's going to be the squad's new lucky number: they've won their past two games with that exact score. The Rattlers never let the Wolverines get on the board and left with a 10-0 win on Tuesday. Fabrizio Salinas made a big impact no matter where he played. He kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out eight over four innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in six consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

In other batting news, Edgar Quintanilla and Luis Balderas did most of the damage at the plate: Quintanilla scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances, while Balderas scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. That's the most stolen bases Quintanilla has posted since back in March. Luis Cienfuegos was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double.
