Volleyball Recap: Madison-Ridgeland Academy Takes a Loss

Madison-Ridgeland Academy lost against Brandon back in September of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Patriots fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 2-1.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Madison-Ridgeland Academy sadly wound up on the wrong side. The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 23-25, 15-8.

Selah Sandridge paced Madison-Ridgeland Academy's offense, picking up ten kills. Sandridge got some help from Keira Hariel and her ten assists. Finally, Alyssa Dampier kept Madison-Ridgeland Academy's defense grounded, leading the team with two blocks.

Brandon was led to victory by Karley Grantham and Lynnon Rhodes. Grantham had seven digs and three aces, while Rhodes had eight digs and one assist. That's the most aces Grantham has posted since back in September of 2024.

Madison-Ridgeland Academy's loss dropped their record down to 6-2. As for Brandon, their record now sits at 9-3.

Looking ahead, Madison-Ridgeland Academy will face off against St. Joseph Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Brandon, they will challenge Madison Central at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
