For the second straight game, Ambridge will face off against North Catholic. Ambridge will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against North Catholic at 4:00 p.m. Ambridge is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.8 runs per game this season.

Ambridge came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against North Catholic, falling 11-2. The loss was the Bridgers' first of the season.

For North Catholic's part, Jake McKee made a big impact no matter where he played. He pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. McKee was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one home run.

In other pitching news, Caden Williams tossed a big game, striking out six batters over six innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits.

Back at the plate, North Catholic let Ryker Kennedy and Evan Giuliani run wild. Kennedy scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3, while Giuliani went 1-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. That's the most runs Kennedy has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Josef Safar, who scored a run while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.

North Catholic always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .538. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Ambridge only posted an OBP of .296.

Having lost for the first time this season, Ambridge fell to 2-1-1. As for North Catholic, their win was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0.
