Basketball Recap: Jacksonville Christian Academy Picks Up Fourth Straight Win at Home

Jacksonville Christian Academy had won three straight home games dating back to last season and Nylah Moore did her part to make it four on Thursday. The Jacksonville Christian Academy Conquerors took down the Community Christian Cyclones 53-34 thanks in part to Moore, who went 14 of 23 on her way to 34 points in addition to six steals and five boards. The match was her 18th in a row with at least ten points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Alexis Paradysz, who posted four points along with 18 rebounds and three blocks. She is on a roll when it comes to boards, as she's now pulled down 11 or more in the last six games she's played.

Despite the loss, Community Christian saw an underclassman step up: freshman Autumn Bradshaw had 13 points and five steals. Those five steals set a new season-high mark for Bradshaw. The team also got some help courtesy of Olivia Carter, who put up six points.

Jacksonville Christian Academy's win bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Community Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-2.

Jacksonville Christian Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 44-37 victory against Pamlico Christian Academy on the 10th. As for Community Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 34-28 loss against Christ Covenant on the 9th.
