Basketball Recap: Waterville-Elysian-Morristown Takes a Loss

Waterville-Elysian-Morristown was the 83-80 winner over Triton when they last played one another back in February, but their luck changed this time around. The Waterville-Elysian-Morristown Buccaneers took a 74-68 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Triton Cobras. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Friday (57), the Buccaneers still had to take the loss.

This is the second loss in a row for Waterville-Elysian-Morristown and nudges their season record down to 2-2. As for Triton, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Waterville-Elysian-Morristown will square off against Bethlehem Academy at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Waterville-Elysian-Morristown's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for Triton, they will take on United South Central at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Triton knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three games -- so hopefully United South Central likes a good challenge.
