Riverside faced Lightridge in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Ram skirted past the Bolts 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Ram have posted since April 24th.

Brooklyn Oliviero spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on three hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Jaiden McCallum, who went 1-for-3 with one home run. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season.

Riverside hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least four batters in three consecutive matchups.

Riverside is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Lightridge, their loss dropped their record down to 19-1.
