El Dorado is 2-8 against Americas since August of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The El Dorado Aztecs will head out on the road to challenge the Americas Trail Blazers at 6:30 p.m. El Dorado is looking to tack on another W to their five-game streak on the road.

Last Tuesday, El Dorado had just enough and edged Del Valle out 3-2.

El Dorado was actually outscored in aggregate across those five sets (105-103), but they still managed to win. The match finished with set scores of 24-26, 25-17, 13-25, 25-23, 16-14.

El Dorado can attribute much of their success to Natalia Ruiz, who had 34 digs and five aces, and Angelina Mcgriff, who had 20 digs, nine kills, five blocks, and four aces. The dominant performance gave Mcgriff a new career-high in blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Hannah Garcia, who had 12 digs, a kill, and 22 assists.

El Dorado kept the net locked down and finished the game with 11 blocks. That's the most blocks they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, Americas waltzed into their game on Friday with nine straight wins... but they left with ten. They were the clear victor by a 3-0 margin over the Conquistadores.

Americas walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the first set). The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-17, 25-16.

El Dorado is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a massive bump to their 11-14 record this season. As for Americas, their record now sits at 32-4.
