Preview: Magnolia Sentinels vs. Savanna Rebels
Magnolia is 0-10 against Savanna since January of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Magnolia Sentinels will be playing in front of their home fans against the Savanna Rebels at 6:00 p.m. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Magnolia had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They managed a 46-41 victory over Century on Monday.
Magnolia can attribute much of their success to Elijah Jones, who scored 18 points. Derrick Cline was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Meanwhile, Savanna came tearing into Monday's match with eight straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 24.6 points) and they left with even more momentum. They really took it to Anaheim for the full four quarters, racking up a 89-61 win on the road. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 51-29.
Magnolia's victory ended a 14-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-18. As for Savanna, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-9 record this season.
