Softball Recap: Springfield Tigers vs. Jackson-Milton Bluejays
After soaring to 13 runs the game before, Springfield was a bit more limited in their contest on Friday. They came up short against the Jackson-Milton Bluejays, falling 9-2. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Tigers of the 12-4 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.
Springfield saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Makenna Wymer, who went 2-for-3 with one triple and one RBI. Another was Emily Conner, who scored a run and stole two bases while getting on base in two of her three plate appearances.
Springfield's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Jackson-Milton, their victory bumped their record up to 4-1.
