Matthew Bredel posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Saturday. He struck out nine batters over 6.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off six hits (and only one walk). He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances.

Coming up, Bredel and Burgettstown will square off against Bentworth at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
