Basketball Recap: Denmark-Olar Extends Home Winning Streak to Nine

Denmark-Olar put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They managed a 33-27 win over the Carvers Bay Bears.

Denmark-Olar was led to victory by Ry?Naisha Barnes and Amoria Wright. Barnes posted ten points along with six rebounds and three steals, while Wright put up eight points in addition to five rebounds and four steals. Barnes is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least three every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kalen Mayes, who had five points.

Carvers Bay lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Jurnee Blye, who posted six points.

The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 21.2 points per game. As for Carvers Bay, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.
