Basketball Recap: Westover Comes Up Short

Westover and Seventy-First squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Westover had to settle for second. They had to suffer through an 85-44 loss at the hands of the Seventy-First Falcons. The Wolverines lost against the Falcons in their previous head to head back in March of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 63-44 score last time.

Westover's defeat dropped their record down to 17-11. As for Seventy-First, the victory was the 14th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 22-3.

Westover does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Seventy-First, they will challenge J.H. Rose on Tuesday. One thing working in J.H. Rose's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 23 matches.
