Softball Recap: Cypress' Victory on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Cypress put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past the Kennedy Fighting Irish 8-1. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 9-2 last Wednesday.

The team relied heavily on Sanaiyah 'Naya' Cleland, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. Hayden Haney was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double.

Cypress' win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Kennedy, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.

Cypress will have a chance to go back-to-back against Kennedy: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:15 p.m. on Monday.
